Dr. Magoun also works with patients of all ages dealing with musculoskeletal pain including fibromyalgia, arthritis, TMJ, and systemic inflammation. He believes there is no one-size-fits-all answer for healthcare and works with his patients to address the impact of genetics, environment, trauma, infection, toxins, nutrition, and lifestyle in order to create the conditions for optimal health.
A long-time subscriber to the Green Medicine Newsletter, Dr. Magoun had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Wright and their shared passion for natural treatments for healthy aging led to Dr. Magoun joining the Tahoma Clinic team of physicians.
Dr. Magoun graduated from NUNM with a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree. He is also a graduate of the University of Akron where he completed his premedical education along with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering.
His approach is to initially address anything in the diet, lifestyle or past history that may interfere with the body’s ability to heal, for example, poor diet, excessive stress, digestive disturbances, inadequate rest, toxic exposures, socio-economic stressors or trauma, then escalate in treatment/testing from there if needed. His naturopathic philosophy is to give the body what it needs to heal and repair itself using a personalized approach and without the use of prescription medications.
